A Community Vision That Has Already Begun

Meaningful change does not always begin with a large organization. Sometimes it begins when people see a need and decide to respond with what they have.

Brighter Lives for Panamanian Families is a personal community-support initiative created by Julius and Zoey Codrington.

We are retired residents of Panama who have witnessed families within the communities around us facing challenges related to food, living conditions, household needs, and access to positive recreation.

Rather than waiting until we could do something on a much larger scale, we chose to begin personally and directly.

We are currently assisting a large Panamanian family from our own resources. We take the family to a local grocery store where they can purchase food for the month, and we also provide a small amount of cash to assist with immediate household needs.

Brighter Lives begins with that family, but our vision is to gradually extend meaningful assistance to others as resources become available.

A Larger Vision for Recreation

Roller Skating • Bowling • Family Connection

Our long-term vision is to support the development of a welcoming indoor recreational facility in Panama where children, teenagers, adults, and families can enjoy activities such as roller skating and bowling together.

We envision a positive environment filled with movement, laughter, connection, and opportunities for families to create meaningful memories.

Julius and Zoey are retired residents of Panama. This initiative is something we are personally supporting online as a way of giving back to the communities around us.

When funding is eventually available for a larger recreational project, our intention is to contribute those funds toward appropriately qualified local individuals, organizations, professionals, contractors, or entities that can undertake the necessary development and operation of the facility in Panama.
